Portrait Studio Day!

This was too much fun. With a great subject like Dustin hamming it up all I had to do was keep snappin photos!

I opened up the image in Adobe Bridge, then hit Cmd R to open it up in Raw. It's a JPEG, yay for knowing that I can open up JPEGs in Camera Raw!  Then I did a few edits, I used the adjustment brush to paint over the foreground buildings and cars, and upped the contrast and the brights. I also bumped up the clarity just a bit but it didn't make much change. Then I opened it up and saved it as a JPEG!

I edited this using the levels adjustment layer. I had to make it much brighter, it was pretty underexposed. After I made the photomerge, I filled it using content-aware and cleaned up the sky a little bit with the clone stamp, because the content aware made the sky have drastic color changes instead of a smooth transition of colors.

Edits: Cropped out the person's leg in the back, added a few adjustment layers with my subject selected and the background blacked out: increased saturation, brightness and contrast. Then I selected the background and added an adjustment layer and increased it's brightness to kind of blow out the background a little bit.

I reduced the opacity of the texture layer to 41%.

This is my friend Katelyn. She happened to be wearing a purple hat at work that day, thus began my quest to study the color purple for this assignment.

I edited this photo by cropping a distracting yellow thing in the background out and adding some saturation to bring out the purple.

This is my aperture priority set to deep depth of field. The snow bank in the front left is in focus as well as the trees and houses in the very back.  I edited the levels to bring out the purple in the sky.
